Abstract

This article presents the results of experimental studies on boiling heat transfer coefficients of some aqueous solutions of mixtures of substances with limited solubility. The systems studied are: ammonium nitrate - calcium nitrate - water and potassium nitrate - calcium nitrate - water. Empirical equations were established for the heat transfer coefficients at different concentrations, thermal fluxes, and temperature differentials. The general form of these equations is alpha = (a-bCn)qm and alpha = (a1 - b1Cn1) Delta tm1. The following formula is proposed for the boiling heat transfer coefficient of aqueous solutions of substances with limited solubility: alpha 2m = m1alpha1 + m2alpha2.
