Abstract

AbstractCanola grown in years or locations with increased temperatures shows a significant decline in seed yield. Research has shown a ∼7 bu/ac yield loss with a 5.4°F increase in growing season temperatures. Given the importance of canola in western Canada and the fact that canola is a cool‐season crop, continued applied and basic research into heat tolerance is of critical importance.
