Abstract

The chemical composition of a hard alloy and a steel, as well as the microstructure, phase composition, hardness, microhardness, and depth of a hard-alloy coating on specimens produced by casting using a foamed polystyrene consumable pattern with the working surface covered with a powdered hard alloy, are studied. Results of the abrasive wear of the cast specimens with the hard-alloy coating before and after heat treatment with double phase recrystallization are presented. It has been found that the heat treatment with double phase recrystallization of these parts increases their abrasive wear resistance by 3–4 times.
