Abstract
AbstractPolyamide‐amic acids containing bipyridyl units were prepared by polymerization of various bipyridyl diamines with trimellitic anhydride acid chloride. These polymers were converted to polyamide‐imides by thermal cyclization. The resulting polyamide‐imides exhibited very good solubility in organic solvents.
