Abstract

Samples of the TsP-1 type were subjected to creep tests in the temperature range of 600-750°C in the IP-2 machine under a load of 30 kN. The length of the reduced section was 100 mm, the diameter 10 mm (GOST 10145-62). Welded joints were tested with smooth samples 4.5 × 10 mm in section with a reduced section 50 mm long. The temperature variation was held to _+1 °. The change in length was determined by means of gauges with scale divisions of 0.01 mm. The samples were first austenitized at 1000°C (20 rain) and cooled in water. The longest testing time was 50,457 h. The results (Fig. 1 and Tables 1 and 2) were extrapolated to 100,000 h. It was found that in logarithmic coordinates of stress vs time the variation of the creep strength is inversely pro
