Abstract

The paper presents the results of a theoretical study of heat and mass transfer in an intensified tubular continuous homophase polymerization reactor with transverse periodic discrete roughness in the form of semicircular annular protrusions on the reactor wall. Various ways of influencing the molecular weight characteristics of the polymer and the degree of conversion in the reactor are considered. The ranges of change in the operating parameters of the polymethacrylate synthesis process are determined, under which safe operating modes of the reactor are carried out.
