Abstract

The heat capacity and volumetric properties of ammonium thiocyanate solutions in N-methylpyrrolidone are measured at 298.15 K by calorimetric and densimetric means. Concentration dependences of the partial and apparent molar heat capacities and volumes of the investigated systems are discussed. The standard partial molar heat capacity and volume of NH4CNS, and the standard heat capacity and volume of ammonium and thiocyanate ions in N-methylpyrrolidone at 298.15 K are calculated.
