Abstract
The heat capacity of bismuth niobate doped by rare earth elements (R = Er, Lu) was measured by differential scanning calorimetry. It was found that there were phase transitions for investigated compounds at temperatures > 500 K. The temperatures of beginning phase transitions increased with decreasing of rare earth elements radii, which correlated with an increase in lattice energies.
