Abstract

Heat capacities and enthalpy increments between the temperatures T=5 K and T=440 K were determined with adiabatic calorimetry for benzophenone. The triple-point temperature, enthalpy of fusion, heat capacities, and derived thermodynamic functions are reported for the solid and liquid phases. Standard entropies for benzophenone are reported for the first time. Results are compared with modern literature values.
