Abstract

The heat addition effect on the stability characteristics of the crossflow in the swept-wing boundary layer is investigated. The physical mechanism of the effect is established. The calculations performed illustrate the variation in the instability mode growth rates under the heating of the surface in a flow and at bulk energy addition.
