Abstract

A newborn presented with a prominent pulsatile supraumbilical tumour which was initially diagnosed as umbilical hernia by the caring paediatrician. On referral, clinical examination showed a subcutaneous pulse-synchronous pulsatile mass with diastasis of m. rectus abdominis ( Panel A ).
