Abstract
Summary Patients undergoing TAVI have an increased risk of all‐cause mortality or heart failure hospitalization if they are known with a pre‐procedural heart failure hospitalization. Patients with severe aortic valve stenosis exhibiting signs of heart failure may benefit from an earlier aortic valve replacement to prevent irreversible cardiac damage. Future studies should explore whether a more intensified medical HF therapy may further improve clinical outcomes in TAVI patients, especially in those patients with prior heart failure hospitalization.
