Abstract
Majority of the swellings in submandibular region are sialadenitis, lymph node or neoplastic lesion of submandibular gland. Heamangioma is rare cause of swelling of submandibular gland. Among heamangioma of salivary glands 90% are seen in the parotid gland and remaining in the submandibular gland. Submandibular heamangioma usually presents as a cystic swelling in the submandibular area but at time may mimick as sialadenitis making the diagnosis difficult. We are reporting a case of submandibular gland heamangioma with clinical presentation, radiological and surgical features are discussed along with review of the literature.
