Abstract
The state and trends of Ukrainian healthcare market development were analyzed in this research work. Its main characteristics were defined. The conditions of the state and private sectors of healthcare were researched. The market of medical tourism occupies a special place in the private healthcare sector. It is characterized by the positive trends as in Ukraine, as worldwide. Dynamics of Ukrainian household expenditures for healthcare are analyzed. Dynamics of a number of healthcare facilities and medical staff in Ukraine are researched. They are characterized by drop-down trends, which reveal general negative developments in the market.In the article the research of the national medical equipment market is provided. It is characterized by a high import content, which reflects undervelopment of the national production in this field.
