Abstract
Ciba conferences cover a wide range of subjects in medical and chemical fields but it would be difficult to conceive of a broader subject than the report of a conference bearing this title. Convening in March 1967 to note the 100th major Ciba Conference, this meeting brought together investigators and practitioners from all over the world. But participants were not confined to medical practitioners, rather they included representation from the many disciplines which contribute to the health of mankind. At a time when there is much emphasis on all factors which influence man's health, this small paperback report (274 pages) makes interesting and informative reading. It is recommended for the practitioner who wishes to remain well educated, the student looking for detailed information on a variety of medically related subjects, and the reader who wishes to pick and choose among some interesting and eminently readable chapters.
