Abstract

PURPOSE Mindset theory describes two different categories: “fixed”, in which a particular personal characteristic is seen as unchangeable, and “growth”, in which the characteristic is viewed as malleable and subject to improvement. Recently, the concept of mindset has been applied to the study of health beliefs and how they influence wellness behaviors.
