Abstract

Decision flexibility is applied to a nursing home locational problem faced by a planning agency. The results of the selection of an initial period decision based upon the flexibility criterion, which maximizes the probability of achieving a selected cut-off, are contrasted with those obtained from applying the expected value criterion.
