Abstract
Abstract Health conferences are round tables in healthcare and health promotion. The literature review shows that health conferences are widespread in France and Austria. In Germany there are over 200 health conferences in more than half of the counties in 14 federal states. The concepts and implementation strategies vary. The evaluation studies claim positive effects but also critical reflections. Health conferences provide opportunities for a local health management.
