Health capital preservation and accumulation: From theoretical research to practical action

Abstract

Subject. The article addresses the evolution of the concept of health capital, the problem of health inequalities. Objectives. We focus on identification of the main contradictions inherent in the preservation and accumulation of health capital. Methods. The study employs methods of generalization and grouping. Results. The paper established the fact of preservation health "capital-forming" properties not only in the process of labor activity, but also outside it. Conclusions. The findings can be used in further analysis of causes of population ageing.
