Abstract
By using split skin autografts, tissue survival in deuterized medium was studied. Split skin grafts were stored for 48, 72, and 96 hours at different temperatures. Survival was evaluated on the basis of the take and of the histological appearance after reimplantation. Survival of deuterated grafts was not increased as compared with grafts stored in conventional medium.
