Abstract
The integral ionization cross sections of the potassium (K) atomic system by He + ion impact have been calculated in the binary encounter approximation (BEA) using the configuration interaction (CI) wavefunction. Comparison is made with the available experimental observation and theoretical prediction. Agreement between our present calculated results and experimental data is reasonably good.
