Abstract

Two environments, each possessing populations described by the homogeneous hawk-dove game, are linked via migration. Aggregation techniques are used to simplify the dynamics and solve the system analytically. Contrary to the homogeneous hawk-dove model, for certain physically realistic parameter values, the final populations structure is found to depend critically upon the initial population structure.
