Hatching Quality of Eggs With Relation to Management

Abstract

From the nature of the case, experiments dealing with the management of breeders in relation to the hatching quality of their eegs require large resources and so data accumulate slowly. For this reason the following tests are published.Great difficulty has been experienced for several years past in obtaining chicks from the fertitle eggs of our breeders of two years of age or more, though no difficulty is had with birds a year old. Suggestions from some of the recent work with vitamins brough about changes in the general method of handling the breeders, with which the following tests have been associated.The breeders were housed in a two story building facing southwest.
