Abstract

Henk van Hoorn works with the North Sea Directorate of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, and is involved in work on the North Sea water-quality plan and coastal zone management issues for the North Sea Directorate. Gerard Peet is an independent consultant for SEA in Delft, the Netherlands; he is also a board member of the environmental organization Werkgroep Noordzee and represents this organization on the North Sea Committee of the Council of the Waterstaat; he is also alternate member of the CRMH, and was vice-chairman of the CRMH committee that prepared the CRMH North Sea advice. Koos Wieriks works at the secretariat of ICONA at the Ministry of Transport and Public Works; he was closely involved in the preparation of the 1982 and 1984 reports on harmonization from the Dutch Government.
