Abstract

This paper presents a filtering Wilkinson Power Divider (WPD) with harmonic suppression. The proposed power divider composed of a coupled line, defected ground structure (DGS), and split ring resonator (SRR). Filtering characteristic of the PD is obtained by replacing the quarter wavelength of conventional WPD with coupled line along with DGS. In addition to this 3rd order harmonic is suppressed due to SRR loaded at input port. The proposed WPD provides an equal power division (-3.2±0.1dB) at the output ports with respect to 1.8GHz (GSM band) frequency. The |S11| and |S23| are found to be better than 15dB and 20dB at operating frequency.
