Abstract

DSTATCOM is a renowned power electronic based active power filter used to compensate harmonics. Distributed Generation (DG) integration to drive load is also a study for power engineers. This paper presents a multi-functional DSTATCOM which can compensate harmonics and integrate DG power to feed the network with BLDC motor drive. This phenomenon avoids the separate VSIs for two different activities of harmonic compensation and DG integration to network feeding power. Synchronous reference frame theory controls the harmonic compensation and DG integration procedure is control with simple control technique.
