Abstract

The release of a Unix V.4 version of True BASIC for the Sun-4 and SPARC workstations is announced by Asher Research, the European distributors. The Unix version of True BASIC is a complete development language featuring powerful 3-D graphics, portability between Unix, DOS and the Macintosh, and the ability to call C routines and invoke the shell directly from BASIC. The latest version for the PC, v3.0, features a new mouse-driven user interface, two new file types and an increase in the number of maths functions. In addition, the Macintosh version has just been upgraded to v2.5, with a very considerable increase in the speed of the matrix operations.
