Abstract
This paper describes a time-deterministic model for the real-time simulation of machine tools using a real CNC. The realized virtual machine tool was validated by comparing the simulated milled work piece with a machined one. The results demonstrate that despite the real-time demands an accurate representation of the machine tool's behavior can be achieved.
