Abstract

This paper addresses the issue of the design of reactive applications subject to hard temporal constraints. We advocate the use of the synchronous language ESTEREL for the design of such applications. The target machine is a real-time microcontroller (RTX2000 from Harris). This paper deals with the automatic translation from an ESTEREL program down to microcontroller code, and the validation (both logical and temporal) of the implementation.
