Abstract
A direct determination of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy field ( H A) of various polycrystalline materials of the type Nd 2Fe 14B, Sm 2Fe 17C x , Sm 2Fe 17N x and R(Fe, T) 12 by using the singular-point-detection technique in the temperature range from 4.2 K up to the Curie temperature is demonstrated. Some recent results on determining the critical first order magnetization process (FOMP) field ( H cr) using the same technique are also presented.
