Abstract

We present a short review about hard diffraction at the LHC. We start by describing the interest of exclusive diffractive event production, and we discuss the search for these events both at the Tevatron and the LHC. We discuss in particular the exclusive diffractive production of Higgs bosons, W and top events. We finish by discussing the uncertainties on t he gluon distribution in the pomeron at large β and some new methods to measure the survival probability.
