Abstract
A 54-year-old man was admitted to the hospital in August, 1996, because of an oppressive feeling, for the past week, in his chest that occurred when he raised his hands. Since he was 36, he had had occasional episodes of tingling in his fingers and chest tightness when he raised his hands. He had a positive Wright test1 on the left side. Thoracic-outlet—Adson and Eden tests—manoeuvres,2 for vascular compromise were negative, but the Morley test and the Roos 3 min stress test3 for nerve compression were positive.
