Abstract

An attempt has been made to integrate a case-based reasoning system with a software timing formal analysis system so as to develop a tool for building complex diagnostic systems for time-critical applications. The focus of this paper is on the elicitation of timing requirements and constraints and on pre-run-time verification of system's timing together with run-time monitoring and detection of potential timing violation. The basic ideas presented, have been separately tested in many occasions. The integration of the two methodologies is carried out in ESPRIT 22 154 project.
