Abstract
El Museo Vasco de Historia de la Medicina fue fundado por José Luís Goti en 1982 para preservar la memoria histórica de la medicina en el País Vasco. Se halla ubicado en el campus de Leioa de la Universidad del País Vasco (UPV/EHU) y contribuye a la formación de los estudiantes de medicina y de otras titulaciones Su colección permanente está formada por unos 6000 objetos médicos de los siglos XIX y XX, organizados temáticamente en 24 salas dedicadas a diferentes disciplinas o especialidades médicas: medicina popular, medicinas paralelas, farmacia, pesos y medidas, asepsia y antisepsia, microscopios, laboratorio, rayos X, obstetricia y ginecología, cirugía, anestesia, endoscopia, odontología, cardiología, oftalmología, electroterapia, anatomía patológica y ciencias naturales.El Museo realiza exposiciones temporales, publica libros y organiza conferencias, cursos y otras actividades de divulgación.The Basque Museum of the History of Medicine was founded by José Luis Goti in 1982 to preserve the historic memory of medicine in the Basque Country. The Museum is located on the campus of Leioa of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and is important in the training of students of medicine and the students coming from other faculties.Its permanent exposition comprises approx. 6,000 medical objects of the 19th and 20th centuries organized thematically in 24 rooms devoted to different medical specialities: folk medicine, unconventional medicine, pharmacy, weights and measures, asepsis and antisepsis, microscopes, laboratory material, X-rays, obstetrics and gynaecology, surgery, anaesthesia, endoscope, odontology, cardiology, ophthalmology, electrotherapy, pathological anatomy and natural sciences.Temporary Exhibitions are also held. Books are published; and conferences, lectures and other activities are organized.Medikuntzaren Historiaren Euskal Museoa Jose Luis Gotik 1982. urtean sortu zuen Euskal Herriko medikuntzaren memoria historikoa babesteko asmoarekin.Euskal Herriko Unibertsitateko Leioako kanpusean kokatua dago eta medikuntzako ikasleen eta beste titulazioen prestakuntzarako laguntzen du.Bere erakusketa iraunkorra XIX. eta XX. mendeetako 6000 objektu mediko inguruz osaturik dago. Hauek 24 geletan gaika antolatu dira, ondorengo jakintzagai edo espezialitate mediku ezberdinei arabera: herri-medikuntza, medikuntza paraleloak, farmazia, pisuak eta neurriak, asepsia eta antisepsia, mikroskopioak, laborategia, X izpiak, obstetrizia eta ginekologia, kirurgia, anestesia, endoskopia, odontologia, kardiologia, oftalmologia, elektroterapia, anatomia patologikoa eta natur zientziak.Museoak aldi baterako erakusketak eskaintzen ditu, liburuak argitaratzen ditu eta, konferentziak, ikastaroak eta beste jarduera batzuk ere antolatzen ditu.
