Abstract
Background: Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is associated with left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) and diastolic dysfunction. Hand-carried echocardiography (HCE) is a valuable tool for hospital-based diagnosis of cardiovascular (CV) disease. This study investigated the role of HCE for screening asymptomatic T2D patients (pts) in primary care.
