Abstract
AbstractFive halogenated sesquiterpenes including, (‐)‐aplysistatin (1), (+)‐palisadin B (2), 3,4‐epoxypalisadin A (3), 2‐hydroxyluzofuranone (4) and 2‐hydroxyluzofuranone B (5) were isolated from the red alga Laurencia intermedia, collected at Ly Son island, Quang Ngai province, Viet Nam. The chemical structures of these compounds were elucidated by 1D and 2D−NMR spectroscopy and HR−ESI−MS analysis as well as compared with data in the literature. This is the first time these compounds were isolated in Laurencia intermedia.
