Abstract
The reactions of halogen fluorides with organic compounds are considered and the possibilities for their employment as selective fluorinating agents for the synthesis of organic mono- and poly-fluoro-compounds are discussed. The reactivities of halogen monofluorides are compared with those of their stoichiometric equivalents. The mechanisms of the reactions of halogen fluorides and their inorganic complexes are discussed. The bibliography includes 160 references.
