Abstract

Abstract Symptoms of halo blight affecting oats in New Zealand are described and the identity of the pathogen is confinned as Pseudomonas coronafaciens (Elliott, 1920) Stevens, 1925. Results of a comparative physiological and biochemical study indicate a close relationship between Ps. coronafaciens and Ps. syringae.
