Abstract

The first metatarsophalangeal joint is very important in the propulsive phase of gait, hence the importance of biomechanics. It is therefore very important to study the conditions affecting this joint. One of the pathologies that occur over the first metatarsophalangeal joint is hallux limitus, therefore the importance of better understanding their clinical stages, and etiology, especially the etiologic factors of biomechanical origin as overpronation, as is the most common is. Therefore, this article seeks to make a literature review and confirm whether the excess pronation is a cause of hallux limitus.
