Abstract

We report the results of precision measurements of Hall effect carried out on high quality single crystals of PrB6 and NdB6 at temperatures 2–300 K in magnetic fields up to 1 T. The Hall coefficient RH demonstrates weak temperature dependence in paramagnetic (PM) phase of both compounds. When temperature decreases below TN the second harmonic contribution of Hall resistivity was detected. The results of the work are discussed in terms of effect of spin polarization of 5d-electron states in PrB6 and NdB6.
