Abstract

Measurements of the Hall effect in gold, silver or copper containing transitional impurities have been made by Hurd and Alderson1 and Friederich and Monod.2 The experimental data suggest2–4 a contribution from skew scattering by the impurities, particularly in the case of the AuFe alloys. However, the field dependence of the Hall resistivity of these alloys is not yet clearly understood.
