Abstract

We report on the mixed state Hall effect of RBa2Cu3O7 (R=Y, Yb) thin films, in high magnetic fields parallel to thec-axis. Our main result is the observation of a direct influence of disorder on the Hall conductivity. The scaling relation ρxy ∝ ρ xx β is observed, with an exponent β that decreases with increasing pinning strength.
