Abstract

Abstract : Public Relations Management includes four-step process - research, planning, execution, evaluation – to design and execute contemporary public relations (PR) campaigns. The first and last steps refer to ‘research process’ in this management approach. Research provides objectivity in PR campaigns and promotion of PR department in an organization. There are many various types of research to use in PR industry. When an unexperienced PR professional or researcher knew these types of research well, he or she would approach it to use more and would handle external PR research services better. One of these types of research is ‘public relations fieldwork’ which is based on to collect primary data from the field. PR fieldwork has plenty of methodological formality because of its nature, but, it makes difference with obtaining specific findings and results for an organization which has specific situations and problems.
