Abstract

As I begin my second, 5-year term in this interesting, challenging, and rewarding position, it is hard to believe that I am just beyond the halfway point in my tenure as the Editor-in-Chief of Stroke . Feedback from many sources, including our readers, contributors, and members of the various masthead groups, has been almost uniformly positive about the content and direction of Stroke , the preeminent journal in the cerebrovascular field. As all of you are aware, Stroke has added many features over the past 5 years and has increased substantially the rapidity of the review process and the appearance of accepted articles online and in print. Accomplishing these goals has required considerable efforts from our reviewers, masthead group members, and, most importantly, the Associate Editors, Vice Editor, and full-time office staff.
