Abstract

The half-order three-dimensional curl operator is evaluated in explicit spectral domain form. It finds use in an augmented set of Maxwell’s equations, with added two field quantities that allow, e.g., for greater flexibility in defining new gauges and boundary conditions. A one-dimensional version of the half-order curl is demonstrated for the case of a plane wave.
