Abstract

This study has comparatively analyzed baroque hair styles during the 17th century by era and country, which have recently been revitalized into modern hair styles in order to make a contribution to the development of concept and research activities on hair styles. Unlike the hair styles in the past, the baroque hair styles from the 17th century have quickly developed in diverse styles. As a result, contemporary hair styles have been in vogue in many countries. The silhouette hair styles from the 17th century have gradually changed without changing the mainstream. The major features of baroque style such as vitality and rhythm have been expressed in hair styles. In addition, the changes in contemporary patterns have been reflected on hair styles. This kind of results will be available in predicting hair style trends in modern times, in which retro-trend has been popular. In addition, they will be used as standard to lead the trend.
