Abstract
SummaryTwenty‐two cases of haematocolpos are reported. Disturbances of micturition were prominent in the symptomatology. “Radiological examination disclosed patent tubes in 19 of the 20 patients who were investigated. The aetiology of the transverse septum at the vaginal outlet is discussed. The evidence obtained in this series supported the theory of invasion of primitive streak mesoderm.
