Abstract
Nowadays developments in socio-cultural fields of information and communication technologies lead to the transformation of the perception of privacy and to changes in the private boundaries. Recent developments regarding limitations of private sphere and threats against residential privacy shows that this is a problem that needs to be addressed. Our religion gives great importance to protect the privacy of people which is an innate sense and value. In this regard it has laid out principals and basics regulating the residential privacy. After drawing an overall framework of residential privacy from the perspective of the Hadiths, this study will explain the nature of the elements and actions that violate the confidentiality of residential privacy. It will also uncover the performed precautions and sanctions against residential privacy and the principals and basics for the protection of residential privacy by our prophet moving from his words and actions.
