Abstract

Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, Sezione di Milano, 20133 Milano, ItalyE-mail: Paola.Sala@mi.infn.itThe measured fluxes of secondary particles produced by the interactions of cosmic rays with theastronomical environment represent a powerful tool to infer some properties of primary cosmicrays. In this work we investigate the production of secondary particles in inelastic hadronicinteractions between several cosmic rays species of projectiles and different target nuclei of theinterstellar medium. The yields of secondary particles have been calculated with the FLUKAsimulation package, that provides with very good accuracy the energy distributions of secondaryproducts in a large energy range. An application to the propagation and production of secondariesin the Galaxy is presented. The 34th International Cosmic Ray Conference,30 July- 6 August, 2015The Hague, The Netherlands
