Abstract

Throughout Hadith history, authenticity of the Hadith have been identified according to their transition chains and ravis. In other words, Hadith books, like Bukhari and Muslim etc., have become a center in this historical time course. With the passage of the time Hadith studies, especially on such books like Bukhari and Muslim, have led that there has occurred an authority with which authenticity and identi' cation critics of hadiths made alongside some classi' cations among hadiths. It is understood that this process started with Hakim an- Neysaburi and has become a common acceptance with Ibn as-Salah. Although some scholars do not agree on this common acceptance, their ideas are not seriously taken into consideration by the rest. This study deals with the considerations and assessments that have made both on the process and some ideas of Hakim an- Nusayburi as well as Ibn as-Salah. After touching down on some critics about the hadith ranking system that is based on Sahihayn (Bukhari and Muslim), a new hadith ranking or alignment suggestion is given. It is also mentioned that this new arrengement should be understood as validation of Hadiths more than authenticity of hadiths
